A small clue can matter

A correction. A memory.
A connection to explore.

You do not have to take on a whole branch to offer a useful lead. Tell us which person, place or record you mean and how you know.

Start with a little, not everything.

For a correction, include the page address, the statement you question and a source if you have one. For another branch, begin with a deceased ancestor’s name, approximate dates and a townland or destination. Similar names are leads, not proof of kinship.

Please do not initially send living people’s dates of birth, private addresses, identity documents, DNA files or photographs you do not have permission to share. Material is not published automatically. Research outcomes and response times cannot be guaranteed.

One small clue is a start.

Choose the closest fit—or simply use hello@mcpaddenproject.org. These links open your email app; nothing is sent until you send it. Using webmail? Copy an address instead.

What happens next? Your message starts a conversation, not an automatic addition to the site. We may ask for context or a source; we will discuss permission and attribution before publishing material you share. A lead may remain an open question. Research outcomes and response times cannot be guaranteed.

Report an accessibility problem or request help reading a record. Include the page link and what blocked you; you do not need to disclose a disability. Read our accessibility approach.
